Thigh Slimming
The front and back of the thigh get a natural workout from walking, stepping up curbs and climbing stairs. But the inner and outer part of the thigh tend to need attention in order to produce a slimmer profile when viewed from the front.
The outer side of the thigh the most visible part and is an important part of the formula for producing great looking legs. The outside side of the thigh is actually a long, flat tendon band called the iliotibial band. The appearance of this band depends on the tone of the outer hip muscles (the tensor fascia lata) along with the gluteal muscles. So nice looking thighs depend also on a well toned butt which is why we often treat the buttocks and the thighs together. The buttocks lift can also make the thighs appear longer.
When inner thigh muscle tone is weak (the adductors) there's a tendency for the upper part of the thighs to rub together. Most of us don't spend a lot of time squeezing our legs together so these muscles have usually lost a lot of tone. Microcurrent toning of the superficial to medium depth gluteal muscles, the tensor fascia lata and the adductor muscles can reduce the lateral dimension of the thigh and give a firmer, well toned appearance.
